Responsibility of the event participant
Each participant is responsible for assessing their own fitness and the suitability of the gear they are using for the race when registering. Typical ailments in a long race can include abrasions, blisters, dehydration, exhaustion due to lack of energy, as well as injuries and damage to the gear as a result of a fall. Participants must have internalized the idea that all their own actions to minimize the risks leading to injury are also part of their responsibility for the safe conduct of the event.
Participants should also note that although the organizer makes every effort to make the event as safe as possible, dangerous situations may arise due to traffic, road conditions, etc., which cannot be influenced in advance by the organizer.
The organizers have insurance for their own activities. However, all participants in the competition are at their own risk and are obliged to take out any insurance they deem necessary. We recommend that all participants have comprehensive accident insurance for the event.
